While driving there he told me that he was going to pick out the biggest pumpkin and put it upside down on my car and that my car would flip over cause the pumpkin would be big, big, big. I was excited to see what his definition of big was going to turn out to be. We arrived at the pumpkin patch, played at a playground, did a hay bale maze, and then caught the hayride pulled behind a tractor out to the pumpkin patch.
He got off the hayride, looked around, picked up the closest pumpkin, and informed us that this was it. He could pick it up, if that gives away to the size of it. He was delighted with his find and ready to get back on the hayride. The funnest part of the whole trip, climbing on an old farm wagon, while we all chatted and watched. The kid energy was amazing there, what a great farm. Actually ever since I was introduced to pumpkin patches while attending college at the University of Kansas, I have never been able to settle for a pumpkin from the grocery store. It just isn't the same.
So sorry we missed going with you guys! Sounds like it was a great time!
